HOW IT STARTED
Owner and CEO, Ryan Mollaun and partner Debbie, officially founded ROXTAN in May 2009. Ryan and Debbie have worked in the healthcare industry as a Radiographer and a Chemist in their previous careers. Their background in healthcare has exposed them to the deadly reality of sun overexposure which triggered their move into the spray tanning industry.

KEY PERSONNEL
RYAN MOLLAUN
Ryan Mollaun, 35 years young with a professional background in Healthcare and Radiographic Sciences.
His interest in tanning dates back to his adolescent years, sun baking excessively to achieve that ultimate tan. As the years passed, his seemingly bullet proof skin began to show the signs of sun damage. Wrinkles, crows feet and suspect moles began to rear their ugly heads.
Having a close friend diagnosed with a Melanoma - the alarm bells sounded - abruptly putting an end to the chronic sun baking routine while shifting focus to a sunless tanning alternative.
Ryan's wife Debbie saw the need for a spray tan which was not just another entrant in the growing spray tanning market - but one which set the bar higher than the rest - a tan which equaled that of a 'real' sun tan.
Working with the 'Australian Institute of Personal Care Sciences' - it was discovered that the only way to achieve the 'real tan' appearance, was to source the most effective and pure ingredients - cutting no corners with cheaper alternatives.
The natural solutions developed have achieved the perfect complexion tan and is now available for both professional and home users.
DEBBIE MOLLAUN
Debbie Mollaun, 34 years young, studied at the University of Queensland - graduating in 2004 as a Chemist.
Debbie's interest in spray tanning came also from years of sizzling in the Australian sun - converting to spray tanning to save both youth and potentially life threatening skin damage.
With spray tanning gaining popularity and with the lengthy sun baking sessions no longer an option - the 15 minute visit to the salon (or 5 minute application at home) was the perfect alternative.
Debbie however soon realised that there were reasonably good solutions... and there were cheap and less effective brands, but nothing exceptionally flawless in it's appearance and last ability. The motivation to work on a solution which superceded these brands appealed to her and so the hard work began.
Debbie's tanning and scientific background has been vital in the development of ROXTAN's tanning solutions. Her tick of approval in each stage of development and testing has ensured the skin complexion of a ROXTAN spray tan is equal to that of a 'real' sun tan.
